“Ever since I arrived on campus I’ve felt out of place,” pens Grace Swift (’21) in an Op-Ed, “I saw all my friends with large blue bags with their names etched on the side and didn’t understand why I didn’t have one either. I stumbled into Bingham my first-year and after pouring detergent straight into the machine the first few times, I figured out how to be a strong and independent woman. Unlike my coddled friends, I have learned valuable lessons of independence, organization, and perseverance. I even wrote my name on the side of my laundry basket.”
