We believe that humor is essential for encouraging the Yale community to think critically about our privileges, groups, idiosyncrasies, and traditions. We always aim to punch up rather than punch down. We take our commitment to respecting Yale’s community very seriously. Each article gets workshopped by every editor and must be approved by at least 3/4 of the board. We NEVER reference specific students (except on one occasion, when we sought explicit permission via email before posting).

That being said, if you think that we have made a joke in poor taste or referenced a specific person, please email us at yaleactualweeklynews@gmail.com. We want to address your concerns IMMEDIATELY. If you don’t feel that we produce content that speaks to you, please submit an application. If you have concerns, contact us.
